Release Date

Many folks on web tend to look for the release dates of GTA San Andreas which was years back. Here are all of them for each and every platform. Grand Theft Auto SA was released on different dates in different parts of the world. Thus, it was different in America, Europe, Asia, etc.

It is given below for PlayStation (PS2), Xbox, Xbox 360, PC (Windows) and Mac. Different platforms and hence different dates. Also, it was sold separately in separate continents. Let's have a look.

Release Date for PC or Windows

• In the continent of North America, it was 7th June, 2005.
• For Europe, it was 3 days later i.e 10th June 2005.

For PS2 i.e. PlayStation 2

• In Northern America, GTA SA was release on October 26, 2004. 
• Again three days later, in Europe it was on 29 October, 2004.
• On same day as above, Australia got its official copy on October 29, 2004.
• And finally the game was shipped to Japan for selling and it took place on January 25, 2007.

After we take a deductive look, we find that very first it was released in the year 2004 and it was for PlayStation 2. After this, it was announced for other platforms such as Xbox, PC, MAC and for Xbox 360. 

For Xbox

• On 7 June, 2005, GTA SA game was distributed for Xbox platform.
• Later on, on the June 10, 2005 it was sold out in two continents Australia and Europe simultaneously. 

With the development of new gaming device of Xbox 360, Rock-star set out to release it compatible with this new platform. Years later, RockStar games distributed their Xbox 360 compatible game on 20 October, 2008. (4 years after its first selling)

Rockstar noted that there is considerable market for Mac. They understood the importance of coding out the game which would be compatible with Mac operating system. Hence, they made it for MAC.

2 years ago, GTA SA was released for MAC OS on November 12, 2010.
